Boontling

Okay kiddo, do you know what a secret language is? It's when people talk to each other in a way that other people can't understand. Boontling is a secret language that was created by the people who lived in a place called Boonville, California a long time ago.

When they talked in Boontling, they would use different words or add extra syllables to regular words so that outsiders couldn't understand. For example, they might say "kimmie" instead of "come here" or "honky" instead of "white person".

But the funny thing is that even though it was meant to be a secret language, people in Boonville still used it in their daily lives and it became a part of their culture. Even today, some people in Boonville still know how to speak Boontling! Isn't that cool?
