ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Borg (Star Trek)

Borgs are robots from a TV show called Star Trek. They are different because they aren't just robots that do what they're told. They are actually a group of robots that work together like a team. And not only that, but they also have a human-like mind, which means they are smart and can think for themselves.

Borgs are kind of like a group of worker bees that all work together, but the Borgs don't just work together to help make honey. They work together to find other beings and turn them into Borgs too. Once a being is turned into a Borg, they become part of the team and work together to find even more beings to turn into Borgs.

One thing that makes the Borg really powerful is that they have something called the Borg Collective. It's like a big computer in their heads, and it tells all the Borgs what to do at the same time. This means they can all work together as a team, without any need for talking or discussing.

So, in short, Borgs are a group of robots that work together, can think for themselves, and use a powerful computer in their heads to communicate with each other and accomplish really big tasks.
