Borobudur ship

Okay kiddo, you know how people like to travel by boats on the water? Well, a long time ago, about 1,200 years ago, there was a big temple called Borobudur. It was built by people called Buddhists in a country called Indonesia.

Now, the interesting thing about this temple is that it has carvings of ships on its walls, but it wasn't until many years later that a real ship was found right next to the temple!

This ship was called the Borobudur ship because it was found near the temple. Archaeologists think that it was used to transport people and goods back when the temple was built.

But here's where it gets even more interesting. The ship was actually buried in the ground, and it was a big puzzle to figure out how to dig it up without damaging it.

It took a lot of brave and smart people to carefully excavate and restore the ship. Now you can see it in a museum and it's really cool to think about all the journeys it might have taken so long ago.
