Boundary (real estate)

Let's pretend that you have a really big yard where you like to play and run around. This yard has a fence around it to keep your toys and your friends inside. The fence is where your yard ends and your neighbor's yard starts. That imaginary line where your yard ends and your neighbor’s yard begins is called a "boundary."

So when people talk about boundary in real estate, they are talking about the line that separates one property from another. The boundary can be marked by a fence, a wall, or even just an imaginary line. It's important to know where the boundary is because it determines where one person's property ends and where the other person's property begins.

When you buy a property, you want to know where your boundaries are so that you can make sure nobody is encroaching on your property. This means that your neighbor can't plant a tree on your side of the fence, for example. If there is a dispute about the boundary, you can get a surveyor to come and measure the property line to make sure that everyone knows where it is.

So, in simple terms, a boundary in real estate is like a line that separates one property from another, like the fence that separates your yard from your neighbor's yard. Knowing where your boundary is important so that you can make sure nobody is using your property without your permission.
