Bounding interval hierarchy

A bounding interval hierarchy (BIH) is like a map or set of rules that can help you find where something is located. It's like a map that is used to figure out which range a certain number falls in or what group the number belongs to. For example, if you have a number that is between 10 and 20, the BIH map will tell you that this number is in the "10 to 20" group.
