Bramble

Okay kiddo, so let me tell you about brambles! You know how sometimes when we go on walks we see these prickly bushes with lots of tiny thorns on them? Those are brambles! They're like a family of different types of bushes that belong to the rose family.

Now, each bramble is made up of a bunch of stems that grow out from the ground. The stems are called "canes" and they can get pretty long! Sometimes they grow up and curl over like an arch, and that can be fun to walk under. But most of the time they just grow straight up, and they can be pretty annoying to walk through because of all the prickly thorns on them.

Brambles also have flowers and berries. The flowers are usually small and kind of pink or white, and they grow in bunches at the tips of the canes. The berries are what most people probably think of when they hear the word "bramble." They're usually round and kind of small, and they can be red, purple, or black depending on the type of bramble. They're really tasty and sweet, but you have to be careful not to eat too many of them because they can upset your tummy!

So, that's pretty much what brambles are all about! They're a type of prickly bush with long stems, flowers, and berries. They're fun to look at and sometimes walk through, but we have to be careful not to get poked by the thorns. And if we're lucky, we might even get to taste some delicious berries!
