Brand tribalism

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of tribes? A tribe is a group of people who share the same beliefs, interests, or hobbies. And when it comes to brands, there's something called brand tribalism.

So, imagine you really like a certain brand of toy, and all your friends also like that same brand. You guys would be a part of that brand's tribe! And when anyone talks bad about that brand, you and your friends get upset and defend it because it's a part of your tribe.

This happens with big brands too, like Nike or Apple. People who like these brands feel like they're a part of a special group that shares the same interests and beliefs. And when someone says something negative about their brand, they get defensive because it feels like an attack on their tribe.

It might seem silly to get so attached to a brand, but it's a big part of marketing. Brands want to create loyal customers who not only buy their products, but also defend them and spread the word. And that's why brand tribalism can be a powerful tool for companies.
