Brandjacking is when someone uses someone else's name or trademark (like a logo) without permission. It can be done to try and trick people into thinking that they are actually buying something from the real company, but they're really being tricked into buying something else. This can hurt the real brand, because people can be tricked into buying something they didn't want, or they can be tricked into thinking they are getting something they would have paid a lot more money for from the real company.
