ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Brauer–Fowler theorem

Okay, kiddo, so imagine you have a bunch of numbers. Some of these numbers can be put together to make other numbers. For example, if you have the numbers 2 and 3, you can add them together to get 5.

The Brauer-Fowler Theorem is a fancy way of saying that you can make pretty much any number you want by adding or subtracting some other numbers, as long as those other numbers are made from either 2 or 3 or both.

This might sound simple, but it's actually a really important idea in math and can help us solve a lot of different problems. It's kind of like having a few building blocks that can be used to make any structure you want, like a castle or a spaceship.

So, if you ever need to figure out how to make a particular number using just 2s and 3s, the Brauer-Fowler Theorem is here to help!
