Breaking wheel

The breaking wheel, also known as the Catherine wheel, was a scary punishment device used a very long time ago. It was made of wood and had metal spikes sticking out all around it. When someone was being punished, they were tied to the wheel and their limbs were put between the spikes. Then a person would use a big hammer to hit their bones, which would make them break and hurt the person a lot. Sometimes they would even spin the wheel while hitting it, which made it even more painful.

This punishment was used centuries ago in Europe to punish people for serious crimes like murder or treason. It was a very cruel and painful way of punishing someone, and thankfully, it is not used anymore.
