ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Breast imaging

Breast imaging is a way for doctors to look at the inside of a woman's breasts to make sure they are healthy. Doctors use special machines called mammography machines, which are like cameras that take pictures of the breast. The pictures are then examined by the doctor to see if there are any problems, like lumps or bumps, that could be cancerous. Breast imaging is important because it can help find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat. It's like finding a problem with your toys early, so you can fix them before they break completely. Many women have breast imaging done every year as part of their regular check-ups. It's important to take care of our bodies, just like we take care of our toys.
