Breed Groups (dog)

When we talk about breed groups for dogs, it's like putting them into different categories based on what they were originally bred to do.

For example, the Toy group includes small dogs that were bred to be companions, like Chihuahuas and Pomeranians.

The Sporting group includes dogs that were bred to help hunters, like Retrievers and Setters.

The Working group includes dogs that were bred to do jobs like pulling carts, guarding, or rescuing people, like Great Danes and Saint Bernards.

The Hound group includes dogs that were bred to help hunt by using their noses and speed, like Beagles and Greyhounds.

The Herding group includes dogs that were bred to help farmers manage and move livestock, like Border Collies and German Shepherds.

Each group has its own special characteristics and skills that make them unique. It's kind of like how some kids are really good at sports, while others might be really good at music or art.
