Bridges in Rome

Okay kiddo, so there are lots of big, strong structures in Rome that let people and cars and even animals go across a river. Those structures are called bridges.

The ancient Romans were really good at building bridges, even though they didn't have the machines and technology we have today. They used big rocks and bricks to make the bridges stand up, and they had to make sure they were sturdy enough for everyone to cross safely.

One famous bridge in Rome is called the Ponte Sant'Angelo. It was built a long time ago, in the 1300s, and it has lots of pretty statues on it. Another well-known bridge is the Ponte Milvio, which was actually built by the ancient Romans back in the year 115 BC. People still use that bridge today!

So, bridges in Rome are special structures that help people cross the river, and they are really neat because they have been around for a long, long time.
