Brightness

Brightness is how bright something appears when you look at it. The brighter something is, the more light it gives off or reflects. You might notice that when you look at the sun, it looks very bright, and when you look at a cloud, it looks much less bright. This is because the sun is giving off much more light than the cloud is.
