Bringing them home

"Bringing them home" is a phrase that means bringing back Indigenous children who were taken away from their families by the government a long time ago.

A long time ago, many Indigenous children were taken away from their families and placed in schools far from home. This was done by the government because they thought that Indigenous people were not as good as others and needed to be "civilized."

When the children were taken away, they were often not allowed to speak their own language or practice their culture. They were sometimes abused and some even died. This was a really sad and unfair thing to do to them and their families.

Now, many people want to make things right and help the Indigenous children who were taken away to be reunited with their families and communities. This means "bringing them home" and giving them back their culture and language.

It's important to remember that this is a very complicated issue and it will take a lot of time and effort to make things right. But by working together and listening to Indigenous people, we can help make things better and ensure that these children are never taken away again.
