Bristle sensilla

Bristle sensilla are tiny little parts that some insects have on their bodies which help them to sense things. Imagine if you were borrowing your friend's crayons and you used your fingers to feel which color was which. That's kind of like what bristle sensilla do for insects, but they are way more sensitive than your fingers! They have little hairs sticking out of them that can feel even the tiniest movements in the air or on their bodies. It's like having a superpower! Some insects use these bristle sensilla to help them sense vibrations or to detect when it's time to run away from a predator. It's pretty amazing how insects can sense things that we humans can't even see!
