British Association for Japanese Studies

The British Association for Japanese Studies is a group of grown-ups who like to learn and study things about Japan. It's like a big club where people can share their knowledge and ideas about Japanese culture, history, language, and lots of other stuff!

The club was started a long time ago, in 1974, by some grown-ups who loved Japan and wanted to learn more about it. They wanted to create a place where they could share what they had learned with other people who loved Japan too. And so the British Association for Japanese Studies was born!

Now, the club is made up of lots of different types of grown-ups, like professors who teach about Japan, researchers who study Japanese things, and even students who want to learn more about Japan. They have meetings where they talk about all kinds of Japanese topics, like samurai warriors, anime cartoons, and traditional Japanese food. They also write papers and books about what they have learned, and sometimes even go to Japan to study things firsthand!

Being part of the British Association for Japanese Studies is like being part of a big family who all love Japan. They all want to learn more about its fascinating culture and history, and they work together to share that knowledge with others. Whether you're a grown-up or a little kid, joining the British Association for Japanese Studies is a great way to explore the rich and wonderful world of Japan!
