British Cartographic Society

The British Cartographic Society (BCS) is an organization that helps promote the art and science of creating maps. They bring together people who are map makers, people who use maps, and people who love maps! Map makers, called cartographers, use different skills to create useful maps that show the world around us. Maps help us plan our travels and learn about the places we are going. People who use maps work with cartographers to make sure maps are accurate. The BCS helps bring all these people together to help make amazing maps!
