British ambulances in the Franco-Prussian War

Well, you know how sometimes people get really sick or hurt and they need someone to help them? That's what an ambulance is for. In the Franco-Prussian War, which happened a long time ago, British people sent some ambulances to help the soldiers who were fighting.

These ambulances were special because they had a doctor or nurse inside who could help the sick or hurt soldiers right away. They were also different because they had a horse pulling them instead of a car like we see today.

The British ambulances helped a lot of people during the war and made it easier for the soldiers to get the help they needed.
