ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

British princess

A British princess is a special lady who is born into the royal family of England. Her daddy is a prince or a king, and her mommy is also a queen or a princess. When the princess grows up, she will be addressed as “Your Royal Highness” and wear lots of fancy dresses and tiaras.

Being a British princess is a big responsibility because many people look up to her and admire her. She has to be kind to everyone and behave very well all the time. The princess learns how to do lots of things like riding horses, playing musical instruments and learning different languages.

Even though she is very special, she also has to go to school like all the other kids. She learns reading, writing, math, and all the other important things. But since she has to become a queen someday, she also learns about history, politics and how to be in charge of things.

And, of course, the princess gets to have lots of fun too! She goes to fancy dinners, meets other royal families from all over the world and travels to lots of different countries. She also gets to go to movies, go shopping, and do lots of cool things like you and me!
