Brittany Maynard

Brittany Maynard was a young lady who had a type of brain cancer called glioblastoma. This type of cancer is very serious and Brittany only had a few months to live. She decided to move to Oregon, which is one of five states in the United States that allows people to end their own lives if they are very sick and not getting better. On November 1, 2014, Brittany said goodbye to her loved ones and took medication that ended her life peacefully. She chose to die on her own terms and raise awareness about the need for more options for terminally ill people.
