Broadacre City

Broadacre City is like a big, imaginary city that a famous American architect named Frank Lloyd Wright thought up a long time ago. He made many drawings and models for it, and he wanted it to be built one day.

In Broadacre City, people would live in houses that were far apart from each other, with lots of open spaces around them. Imagine a really big neighborhood where every house has its own big yard and garden. People would get around in their own cars, because there wouldn't be many buses or trains.

There would be lots of roads and highways in Broadacre City, and every house would have its own driveway. That means everyone could park right in front of their house!

Frank Lloyd Wright also wanted schools, offices, and stores to be spread out all over the city, so you could go to them easily from your house. There would be big farms and fields too, so people could grow their own food or buy it from local farmers.

Broadacre City was going to be a really nice place to live if it was built, but it never was. Some people thought it wasn't practical and too spread out, but some people still like the ideas in it today.
