Brodie's Law (act)

Brodie's law is a very important rule that helps keep people safe from bullying. It's named after a woman named Brodie who was bullied by someone she worked with. This law makes it illegal for someone to bully, harass or threaten another person using any kind of technology, like phones or computers.

Think about it this way: imagine you're at school and someone is being mean to you. Maybe they're making fun of you, saying mean things or even threatening to hurt you. Brodie's law says that if someone does this to you using a phone or computer, it's against the law and they can get in big trouble. Just like you wouldn't be allowed to hit or hurt someone at school, you're also not allowed to hurt someone with your words online.

This law is really important because it helps to protect people from being hurt and feeling sad. If someone is being mean to you online, it's important to tell a grown-up and let them know what's happening. You shouldn't have to feel scared or upset because of someone else's actions. Thanks to Brodie's law, we can all work together to make sure everyone feels safe and happy.
