Broome Tramway

Okay kiddo, let me explain what the Broome Tramway is!

The Broome Tramway is like a big train that used to run through the town of Broome in Western Australia. Imagine a really long bus with tracks on the ground that it rides on instead of wheels.

Back in the olden days when Broome was a booming town for pearl fishing, the tramway was a really important way for people to get around. It had lots of different stops along its route, kind of like a big school bus on a fixed route.

The tramway was pulled by horses at first, but later on it was powered by electricity. This means that it used special wires above it to get electricity and make it go, kind of like a toy train you might have play with at home.

Unfortunately, the Broome Tramway doesn’t run anymore. But there are still some old trams and tracks left for people to see and learn about the history of Broome.
