Brownfield

A brownfield is a place where people used to work, but nobody works there anymore. Think of it like a playground that nobody goes to anymore. Sometimes, these places are dirty and have things that are not safe to play on.

Just like a playground needs to be cleaned before kids can play on it safely, a brownfield needs to be cleaned up before new people can work there.

Cleaning up a brownfield can be really hard and take a long time because there might be things like old buildings, machines, and chemicals that need to be removed safely. But once it's all cleaned up, it can be a great place for new people to work and play.
