ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Browsing history

When you go on the internet, you look at different websites. Each time you look at a website, your computer remembers that you were there. All of the websites you have looked at before are called your browsing history. It's like a list of all the places you have been on the internet. This can help you find websites you have looked at before and want to visit again.

Your browsing history is private, which means that other people cannot see what websites you have looked at unless they have access to your computer or device. If you don't want anyone to know what websites you have looked at, you can clear your browsing history. This will erase the list of websites you have visited from your computer or device.

It's important to be careful when using the internet and to only look at websites that are safe and appropriate. If you ever come across a website that makes you uncomfortable or shows things that are not okay for kids to see, you should close it and tell an adult right away.
