Brushed DC electric motor

A brushed DC electric motor is like a toy car or train that uses batteries to move. Inside the motor, there is a spinning part called the rotor and a fixed part called the stator. The rotor has little pieces of metal called brushes that touch a part of the stator called the commutator.

When you turn on the battery, it sends electricity through the brushes, and they touch the commutator. This makes the rotor spin around and around like a top. The spinning rotor makes something attached to it, like a wheel or a train track, move forward.

The brushes need to be replaced every once in a while because they wear out from touching the commutator so much. But when they are working, they make the motor run smoothly and quietly.

Brushed DC electric motors are used in lots of things, like toy cars, fans, and power tools. They are easy to use, and you can control how fast they spin by changing the amount of electricity from the battery.
