Buddhist prayer beads

Okay, so you know how sometimes you might see someone holding a necklace with little balls or shapes on it, and they seem to be saying something over and over again? That's what we call Buddhist prayer beads!

Buddhism is a religion that some people practice, and it teaches them to be kind and peaceful to others, and to try to understand the world around them. Buddhists believe that by saying special words called "mantras" while they hold the beads, they can become more focused and feel more calm and connected to their beliefs.

The beads are usually made out of wood, bone, or other natural materials, and there are lots of different kinds and colors of beads that can be used in different ways. Some people might hold the beads and say a mantra for each bead they touch, while others might just hold the beads and think about their beliefs.

The important thing to remember is that the beads are a tool that Buddhists can use to help them feel closer to their faith and to find peace and happiness within themselves.
