ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Buddhist studies

Buddhist studies is like going to school to learn about Buddhism, which is a religion that is practiced by a lot of people in some countries like Thailand, Tibet, and Japan.

Just like how you learn about math or science in school, in Buddhist studies you learn about different things related to Buddhism. This includes things like the history of Buddhism, the different Buddhist teachings and practices, and the culture and traditions of Buddhist communities.

You might learn about things like meditation, which is a way that Buddhists practice mindfulness and connect with their inner selves. Or you might learn about karma, which is the idea that if you do good things, good things will happen to you, and if you do bad things, bad things will happen to you.

Buddhist studies is really interesting because you can learn about how people in different parts of the world live their lives and practice their religion. You can also learn how Buddhism has changed over time and how it has impacted the world.
