When grown-ups wanted to build something really, really, REALLY tall in the city of New York a very long time ago, they decided to build the World Trade Center. It was going to be made of TWO really tall buildings, each one with a hundred floors! That's taller than a giant!
To build such tall buildings, the grown-ups had to use very strong materials like steel and concrete. It was sort of like building a tower of blocks, but way, way bigger! They had to make sure everything was really sturdy so that it wouldn't fall down.
They also needed lots of workers to help build the World Trade Center. These workers were like superheroes - they climbed up super high ladders to make sure everything was put together the right way. They wore special helmets and harnesses to keep them safe.
Once the World Trade Center was all built, lots of people came to visit it. They could take elevators that went really, really fast to the tippy-top floors. From there, they could see the whole city! It was like they were on top of the world!
But one day, some bad people decided to do something really mean and they crashed airplanes into the World Trade Center. This caused the buildings to fall down and lots of people got hurt. It was a really sad day for everyone in New York and all over the world.
But even though the buildings are not there anymore, people still remember them and how they stood tall and strong in the city skyline. They will always be remembered as a symbol of how people can work together to build something incredible.
