Bunghole

A bunghole is like the door for a barrel. You know how when you want to go inside your house, you go through the door? Well, when you want to put something inside a barrel or take something out, you go through the bunghole. It's like a little circle hole that's usually on the top or side of the barrel and you can remove a cork or plug to access it. People use bungholes for things like putting wine or whiskey into barrels to age or taking out things like pickles or olives from their brine. So, just like a door gets you in and out of a house, a bunghole gets things in and out of a barrel.
