Buoy

A buoy is an object that is used to mark a spot in the ocean, lake, or river. Buoys are made of either plastic, metal, or wood and they have a large, bright color to make them easier to see. Buoys are mostly used to tell sailors or people fishing where the safest place to go is, or the boundaries of where they are allowed to go. They are like signs in the ocean that tell people what to do and where to go!
