Bureau of Justice Statistics

The Bureau of Justice Statistics is a group of people who work together to keep track of statistics or numbers about crime and justice in the United States. They collect information from lots of different places like police departments, courts, and prisons to help us understand how many crimes are happening, who gets arrested and punished, and other facts about the American justice system. They use this data to make important decisions about how to improve the justice system and keep people safe. Think of them as a group of detectives who are always trying to solve the mystery of how we can make our communities better and safer.
