Burial of Jesus
Okay kiddo, you know how when someone dies, their body can be buried underground so it can rest in peace? Well, a long long time ago there was a man named Jesus who many people believed was very special and important. Sadly, he was killed and his body needed to be buried too.
Some of his friends took his body down from the place where he was killed and wrapped it in cloth so it would stay clean. Then, they put his body in a tomb, which is like a small cave with a stone in front to keep it closed.
But then something amazing happened! Three days later, when they went back to visit the tomb, the stone was rolled away and Jesus' body was gone. Many people believe that Jesus came back to life and went to heaven.
So even though Jesus' body was buried, his spirit might still be alive and with us today. And that's why some people celebrate Easter, to remember that amazing and special event.
