Busójárás

Busójárás is a really cool festival that happens in Hungary every year. It's a celebration of the end of winter and the start of spring, and people dress up in really scary costumes to scare away any bad spirits or things that might still be lurking around from the winter.

The festival is named after the masks the people wear, called "busós". The masks are made out of wood, and they look like big, scary monsters with big teeth and horns. The people who wear the masks also wear big furry coats and boots, because it's still pretty cold outside when the festival happens.

During the festival, the people who are wearing the masks and costumes dance around and make a lot of noise, banging on pots and pans and blowing whistles. This is supposed to scare away any bad spirits or things that might be hanging around.

There are also parades during the festival, where people march through the streets in their costumes, dancing and singing and making a lot of noise. And at night, there are big bonfires where people gather to eat and drink and tell stories.

Overall, busójárás is a really fun and festive celebration that helps people get ready for the start of spring. It's also a way to connect with the traditions and history of Hungary, and it's a great excuse to wear a really cool and scary costume!
