Byzantine lyra

So, there's a really cool type of instrument called the Byzantine lyra. It's from a really long time ago, like way before your great-great grandparents were even born!

It kinda looks like a little guitar, but it has three strings instead of six. That's because the music that the Byzantine lyra was used for was really special and traditional, and it didn't need as many strings as a regular guitar!

The people who played the Byzantine lyra were often really talented musicians and singers, and they would use the instrument to make beautiful music for important events like weddings or religious ceremonies.

Even though the Byzantine lyra is really old, people still play it today because the music it makes is so unique and special. So who knows, maybe one day you'll get to hear someone play the Byzantine lyra and you can appreciate how cool it is too!
