C. W. Parker Carousel
Do you know what a carousel is? You know, the ride with horses that goes round and round? Well, a long, long time ago, a man named C.W. Parker built carousels that were very special.
C.W. Parker was really good at making carousels. He built them with lots of decorations and lights so that they looked very pretty. And he made it so that instead of just going round and round, the horses could go up and down too!
People loved riding on C.W. Parker's carousels. They would hold on tight as the horses went up and down and around in circles. Some people would even try to grab the brass ring as they went by.
C.W. Parker's carousels were so popular that he built over 1,000 of them! And even though most of them are gone now, a few still exist and people still ride them and have lots of fun.
