ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

C2P

C2P, or "Chip-to-Person," is a special way for you to pay for things using just a little chip in your credit or debit card.

Okay, so let's say you want to buy a toy at the store. You walk up to the register with your toy and then the cashier will tell you the price. You take out your card, which has a little chip in it, and you put it into a special spot on the register.

The cashier will then tell you to wait for a moment while the register talks to your card. Your card will then say "Yes, this is a real card!" and then go "beep" to let you know that it's done. Then, you can take your card out of the machine and you'll be able to take your toy home!

So, basically, C2P is a fast and secure way for you to pay for things using just a little chip in your card. No need for cash or checks, which means you don't have to carry a lot of money around with you. Cool, right?
