CASEVAC

Okay kiddo, so imagine you're playing outside and you accidentally fall down and hurt yourself really badly. You need to go to the hospital so doctors can make you feel better.

In war, soldiers can also get hurt really badly and they need to go to hospitals too. But sometimes, the hospital is really far away and soldiers can't walk or even be carried all the way there. That's where casevac comes in.

Casevac stands for "casualty evacuation" and it means that other soldiers come and pick up the injured soldier and take them to a safe place where they can get medical treatment. The soldiers who pick up the injured person are specially trained to do it safely and quickly.

They might use a helicopter, a vehicle or even just their own feet to get the injured person to safety. And once they're safe, doctors can help them feel better, just like the doctors who help you when you get hurt.

So, casevac is a way to help soldiers who get hurt in war, even if they can't get to the hospital on their own.
