ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

CB military symbol

CB military symbols are like pictures that soldiers use to understand and communicate important information on a map. Just like how we use emojis on our phones to show emotions, soldiers use different shapes, colors and other symbols to show things like where they are, where the enemy is, and where important objects are.

For example, a square might represent a friendly base, while a triangle might represent an enemy enemy camp. A circle with a dot in the middle might show where a soldier is located, and a star might represent an important landmark. Different colors can also mean different things, such as red for danger or green for safety.

These symbols may look like silly little pictures, but they are very important for soldiers to understand. They help them to navigate, plan strategies, and communicate important information with their fellow soldiers.
