ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

CHEOPS

Cheops is a special spaceship that was designed by people to go really far away from the Earth and explore planets that are far away from us. It's like a very big car that goes super fast in space instead of on the road. The spaceship is named after an ancient Pharaoh, who was a king in Egypt a long, long time ago.

The mission of Cheops is to study planets that have stars around them, which means that these planets may be able to support life like Earth does. The ship has a special telescope that helps it see these planets more clearly, and it can take pictures of them too. Scientists can use these pictures to learn more about the planets and figure out if they might be a good place for us humans to live in the future.

To make sure the spaceship is working properly, lots of engineers and scientists spend a lot of time checking and testing it. They make sure that it can travel safely, and that it will be able to do its job for a really long time. It takes a lot of hard work to build and operate a spaceship like Cheops, but it's worth it because it can help us learn more about the universe we live in.
