CIOMS Guidelines

Okay kiddo, do you know what guidelines are? They are like rules that tell us what we should do or not do. Now, CIOMS guidelines are a set of rules that tell us how to do research with people without hurting them.

You see, sometimes scientists want to study things like new medicines or treatments for illnesses, and they need to use people for those studies. But, we can't just use people without making sure they are safe and protected.

That's where the CIOMS guidelines come in. They tell scientists how to do research with people in a way that is ethical and safe. They say things like how to make sure people understand what the study is about, what risks there might be, and what benefits they might get from it. The guidelines also say how to protect people's privacy and keep their information safe.

So, basically, the CIOMS guidelines are like a set of rules that help scientists do research in a way that is fair and safe for everyone involved.
