CPA (agriculture)

CPA stands for Conservation Practices for Agriculture. It is the process of farmers using special farming techniques that help make sure their farms are healthy, productive and safe. These techniques make sure the soil, water and air stay clean, and that the land and animals on the farm stay healthy. Some examples of CPA techniques include using cover crops, crop rotation, or reducing the usage of fertilizer. Overall, using CPA helps ensure that the farm itself and its products are healthy, and that the environment isn't being damaged.
