Cable telephony

Cable telephony is when you can use your cable TV wires to talk to other people on the phone. Just like how you can watch TV with those wires, you can also use them to make phone calls. Your cable company sets it up for you and gives you a special box to plug your phone into. It works pretty much the same as a regular phone, but instead of using the telephone wires in your house, it uses the cable TV wires. It's a way to have both TV and phone service through the same wires!
