Calanque

Okay, so you know how sometimes you go to the beach and the land goes straight into the water? Well, a calanque is kind of like that but imagine the land going straight into the water but then there's a steep drop down where the water gets deeper.

So, a calanque is a type of rocky inlet that is found along the Mediterranean coast. The land around the calanque is usually made up of big rocks, cliffs, and steep trails.

People can hike to these calanques and swim in the water or just enjoy the views. They are really pretty but can be a bit dangerous so you have to be careful while exploring.

So basically, a calanque is a cool spot where the land meets the water but with lots of rocks and steep drops.
