Calendar of Saints (Lutheran)

Well kiddo, do you know what a calendar is? It's like a schedule of all the days in a year! And it helps us keep track of important dates, like birthdays or holidays.

Now, some churches have a special calendar that lists important dates for saints, who are people who have lived a really good life and become very special to God. In the Lutheran church, there is a calendar like this that is called the calendar of saints.

So instead of just remembering dates like Christmas or Easter, the Lutheran church also remembers specific saints on different days throughout the year. This can help us learn more about these people and why they were so special to God.

For example, St. Martin Luther, who was a important person to the Lutheran church, is remembered on February 18th. And on October 31st, we remember the Reformation, which was a very important event in history for the Lutheran church.

So basically, the calendar of saints is a way for the Lutheran church to remember and honor special people throughout the year, alongside important events and holidays.
