ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Calf raises

Calf raises are a type of exercise that can help make your calf muscles, which are the ones in the lower part of the leg, stronger. They help you walk, jump, and run, and can even make your legs look more toned.

To do calf raises, stand with your feet flat on the ground and lift your heels off the ground while keeping your toes on the ground. Hold that position for a few seconds, then slowly lower your heels back down to the ground.

If you want to make the exercise harder, you can hold onto something for support, like a chair or a wall, and do the same motion but with only one foot at a time.

Calf raises might feel a little strange or hard at first, but don't worry – the more you practice, the easier they'll become!
