Calle canal

A calle canal is a street that has a special design to help with draining and preventing flooding. Imagine you have a big puddle of water in your driveway after it rains really hard. This is what can happen on regular streets when it rains a lot.

But with a calle canal, the street is made with a gentle slope that helps the water flow downhill and into special drains on the sides of the road. The drains are like big straws that suck the water up and take it away to a safe place. This helps to prevent big puddles and flooding.

It's like if you were playing with a toy boat in the bathtub and you made waves in the water. If you tilted the bathtub a little, the waves would go to one side and not spill out of the tub. That's what a calle canal does for rainwater on the street.

It's important to have calle canals in places where it rains a lot so that people can safely go about their daily lives without worrying about big puddles and flooding.
