Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (NZ)

Okay, so imagine you have a really big toy that you like to play with. But sometimes, it can also be dangerous if you use it the wrong way or if you let other people use it without being careful. That's kind of how some countries feel about nuclear weapons.

Nuclear weapons are special bombs that are really powerful and can hurt a lot of people all at once. They also can hurt the environment and make it hard for people to live in the area where the bomb was used.

Some countries have these weapons and some people don't think that's a good idea. They worry that if something goes wrong or if someone gets mad, then they might use the weapons and hurt a lot of people. That's where the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) comes in.

The CND is a group of people who want to get rid of all the nuclear weapons in the world. They think that we don't need them and that nobody should have them because they're too dangerous.

They do lots of things to try and make this happen. They talk to other people and try to convince them that nuclear weapons are bad. They also hold events and protests to show how many people care about getting rid of the weapons.

The CND doesn't think that getting rid of nuclear weapons will be easy, but they believe that it's really important to try. They want to make the world a safer and happier place for everyone!
