ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Camping (video games)

Camping in video games means staying in one spot for a long time to wait for other players to come by, usually in a sneaky way to surprise or attack them. It's like hiding behind a tree or a rock and waiting for your friend to come, but in a video game with lots of people playing on the internet. Camping can be a strategy to surprise other players, but it can also be considered unfair because it's not playing the game the way it's supposed to be played, which is to explore and move around to complete objectives. Just like in real life camping where we go to stay in a tent and sleep in nature, in video games, camping is a bit like taking a nap in the middle of the game and waiting for players to come by. Some people love it, some people hate it, but it's all part of the game!
